About the Role
The Summer Camp College Intern serves as a student leader, mentor, and role model for campers and junior interns. This is a full-participation, high-responsibility role designed for college students who desire to grow spiritually while investing deeply in the lives of children and families.
Interns work closely with camp staff and are fully integrated into daily camp life, including Bible teaching, recreation, transportation, field trips, and the end-of-camp trip.
Requirements
Completed at least one year of college
Strong Christian faith and spiritual maturity
Demonstrated leadership and Christ-like character
Ability to connect with elementary-aged students
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Valid driver’s license preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership
Lead prayers and small group discussions (2x per week)
Teach 1–2 Bible lessons
Model Christ-like character in conduct and online presence
Camper Leadership
Supervise and mentor rotating groups of campers
Participate in daily activities and recreation
Provide appropriate discipline and guidance
Mentor junior interns
Camp Operations
Work Monday–Thursday before, during, and after camp hours
Attend one workday before camp and two after camp concludes
Support transportation and special events
Submit a reflection paper and participate in an exit interview
Interns will review and follow all Child & Youth Protection policies
